Stretch Framing of Canvas

All frames are made from a finger jointed renewable pine profile designed to resist warping. The frames are made to fit the print on an individual basis with mitred corners. The canvas is stretched across the frame, stapled at the back and finished with framer's tape to hide the staples and provide a smooth finish that will not damage the wall. A hanging bracket is fixed to the back for ease of hanging on a standard picture hook.

The standard profile can be used to create frames with a depth of either 25mm or 40mm and requires a three inch border around the canvas for stretching.

Images that have one side in excess of 36 inches are stretched onto a heavy duty frame that is 45mm deep. This profile requires a four inch border for stretch framing and is charged at 60p per inch (length + width).

A lighter budget priced 20mm deep frame is also available at £0.45 per inch.

Cost per frame = Length plus Width x cost per inch.

Example 16 x 20 inch frame = (16+20) x £0.55 = £19.80 plus VAT. This is in addition to the cost of the print.

Presentation Options

Your picture can be produced with a Standard wrap with white sides or a Standard wrap with coloured sides that you select or we can select a colour for you to tone in with the image.

Alternatively, your image can be extended to create a Gallery wrap in which the image continues around the sides of the picture. If your image is not suitable for a simple Gallery wrap we can mirror the edges of the image to create the appearance of a Gallery wrap.
