Design & Image Services

We offer a limited range of design and image manipulation services to help you get the best out of your images. Included within the cost of printing is an initial review of your image to ensure that it meets minimum standards for producing a satisfactory print. Also included is any resizing of your image and adding borders. Any additional work is chargeable at modest rates.

Design & Image Manipulation is charged at £6.00 per 15 minute block plus VAT

Print Layout Design

Customers must supply the words and graphic components to be included in the print and guidance on how the design is to be presented. Our Designer will then assemble the components and design a layout for you. The result will be emailed to you for approval or amendment. Once you have given final approval the image will be sent for print and a copy of the print file sent to you for your records. At each stage of the process you will be advised of the cost which will be added to the final print invoice.

Image Scanning

Facilities are available to scan customers images from photographs, drawings or paintings. However, we cannot accept any responsibility for the loss of or damage to such original works in transit. Where practical, original works should be brought to the workshop for scanning. The service includes either burning your images to cd, dvd or saving them onto your usb or similar device.

Image Manipulation

Customers images supplied in digital format or after scanning may require work to remove scratches, fading or other blemishes prior to printing. In some cases this work can be extensive and you will be advised of the likely cost before any work is carried out.

Proofs

When in doubt as to how your image will print we recommend that you request a proof. Proofs are produced on the medium of your choice using the same equipment that will be used for your final print. A proof can either be of the whole image at A4 or an A4 section of the image at print size.

Proofs are priced at £2.35 each (including VAT & Postage)
